Our Home in North Carolina
We recently built a house in Burlington, in central North Carolina, out in the country. Chris and I wanted more land for the dogs to run, and the opportunity to SLOWLY expand our canine family. We currently own 5 dogs that live with us. They have thier own room in our home over our 2.5 car garage, wit their own TV, toys, crates and blankets, cookies, and radio. They have plenty of room here to play on rainy days. And over an acre fenced for them to run on nice days.
The pheasants, geese, ducks, guinea, and chickens have definitely kept the dogs “intrigued”. We are also close to lakes and natural trails for walking. We raise our puppies on trails, as it is excellent socialization and an opportunity to work obedience with them. This type of experience helps build strong, confident adults. We also enjoys running the dogs with our golfcart up the farm behind us.
We are 4.5 miles off of Interstate 40/85, so travel North or South to shows and performance events is easy. Most importantly, we are 5 minutes from Dogtown Training Academy, owned and run by Mary Isenhower-Long. She has helped us tremendously with all of our dogs, owned and co-owned. We owe our obedience titles to her specifically. Especially our Apollo's CGC:-)
