Lure Coursing
Ridgebacks are eligible to participate in lure coursing trials along with other sighthound breeds, such as Greyhounds, Whippets and Borzoi. In lure coursing, dogs run three at a time and follow an artificial lure around a pre-determined course pattern. Coursing dogs are scored on speed, enthusiasm, agility, endurance and their ability to follow the lure. Lure coursing is truly and exciting sport and is is almost as much fun for the handlers as it is for the hounds.
Gemini is working toward her AKC field champion title, and has points toward her ASFA field championship. Apollo has his Dual Championship and is running ASFA.
