“The future of the Ridgeback lies in the hands of responsible and imaginative breeders”
-Stig G. Carlson
Often referred to as “African Lion dogs”, Ridgebacks tracked and held the lion at bay for the hunter to shoot. Traditionally, they were used to protect the home and drive off predators as well.
Today, they are still used for protection, but their intelligence, high energy and intense loyalty to their humans are what attract people to these household companions.
The key to raising a stable, confident Ridgeback lies in early socialization and obedience, both of which must start from the day you come home with your new puppy.
Gemini X Seger puppy (Bron)
Gemini is our foundation bitch, and has proven herself in every realm possible.
From the show ring, to the field, to the obedience side, and most importantly as a mother to her young and a producer of fantastic type and temperament. She earned her ROM on Nov 18, 2007, with Atticus as her fifth champion.
We are forever grateful to have started with such a great girl:-)
